Although Sonengyan's departure is not the sole cause of Gree's financial struggles, it is undoubtedly one factor contributing to the company's woes. The question on everyone's mind is: what did Sonengyan bring to Gree during his tenure? And what does the future hold for this beleaguered company?
In July 2021, Sonengyan first appeared in public on an episode of "The First Job," a reality TV show where he was introduced as Dong Mingzhu's protégé. After five rounds of interviews, he secured a job at Gree and was appointed as Dong Mingzhu's secretary.
Dong Mingzhu once said that she wanted to cultivate Sonengyan into her second self. This statement sent shockwaves through social media, making Sonengyan an overnight sensation. However, just two weeks after joiningGREE ,Sonengyan became embroiled in controversy when rumors emerged about his alleged poor performance and lackluster sales skills.
Despite these challenges, Dong Mingzhu continued to back him up publicly until December 2021 when she mentioned that perhaps one day he would take her place. But many observers saw this as nothing more than marketing hype designed to boost his online presence and drive sales.
In November 2022, rumors circulated that Sonengyan had been removed from Gee 's internal contact list; however,DongMingZhou denied these claims on social media stating that sonenGian was growing every day but only hours later it turned out sonenGian had registered his own private firm called "sonenGian Digital Content Creation Studio" which sparked speculation about his impending exit from Gee .
On April Fool’s Day this year (2018),SonenGian posted on Weibo claiming that he would be leaving Gee ,which caused quite a stir but ultimately proved true with both parties confirming via their respective accounts before eventually ending up signing with MNCN corp., reportedly earning around $400k per annum based solely off influence & follower count alone.
It seems clear now given all we know today (as we look back upon history)that Sonegyns' time at GREE didn't exactly go according to plan nor live up expectations set forth by its CEO or even himself - despite being touted initially alongside other promising young talents who were meant partake within leadership training programs - though they might've experienced similar results while still trying make progress there too before moving elsewhere afterward anyway...
